Glancy is an app that teaches English vocabulary on your iPhone home screen. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: Glancy has no accounts and no servers of its own, and your learning data stays on your device.

Data stored on your device

Your profile choices (native language, level, interests, daily goal, hours), widget settings, saved words and learning progress are stored only on your iPhone, in a storage area shared between the app and its widgets. This data is not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Glancy schedules a daily reminder on your device. Reminders are created locally; no notification service or server is involved.

Pronunciation

Pronunciation uses the speech engine built into iOS on your device.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. To check whether you have Glancy Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service, which receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase and subscription status from Apple. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf, to check your access and to show us anonymous, aggregate subscription statistics; see RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

What we don’t do

• No advertising, no ad networks.
• No tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of personal data.
• No analytics or crash reporting services in the current version. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change ships.

Children

Glancy does not ask for or collect personal information such as names, email addresses or contacts, from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because your learning data never leaves your device, you control it directly: you can change it in the app or delete it by deleting the app. For purchase data held by Apple or RevenueCat, or any other question about your data, contact us at the address below. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Turkey, you also have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or KVKK, including access, correction and deletion, and you may complain to your data protection authority.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
